Emory Journal of Society, Politics, and Ethics is currently accepting submissions for our upcoming volume to be published in the Spring of 2024. In addition to academic works, we accept creative submissions including but not limited to: opinion/critical essays, poetry, fiction, and audio/visual art.
Our Spring 2024 edition will be a special issue on Oppression and Resistance intended to give students an opportunity to discuss current liberation struggles, movements, and tactics. We expect submissions to relate to the theme in some way, but we encourage imaginative and original interpretations of Oppression and Resistance. Students may wish to investigate certain contemporary issues of oppression, larger themes in contemporary liberation struggles, historical bearings of ongoing struggles, visions for the future, or go in an entirely different direction. Please remember to remain respectful, insightful, and productive in your submissions.
Due to our interdisciplinary approach toward scholarship, we welcome work from majors across the humanities, social sciences, and the liberal arts, including but not limited to Philosophy and Philosophy, Politics, and Law, Comparative Literature, Art History, Film and Media Studies, African American Studies, French, German, English, Classics, Creative Writing, Interdisciplinary Studies, Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies, History, Sociology, Political Theory, Anthropology, Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Dance and Movement Studies, Music and Spanish and Portuguese.
Submissions are due on March 1st, 2024.
